Skinjectables® Is Your Tucson Botox Destination.
BOTOX® is a prescription medication sent down from heaven that is injected into muscles of facial expression to help improve the look of crow’s feet, forehead lines and deep ravines between the eyebrows (the 11’s). Repeated scowling, squinting or raising the eyebrows over the years causes the lines to form and become dreaded “wrinkles.”
Our skilled Bartenders will gently put the muscles to sleep so the Botox fairies can iron out those etch lines creating a road map on your face! We do want to warn you, however, this may make you appear kinder, friendlier and more approachable so use your new super powers wisely!

Does it hurt?
Worried about the pain? Stop fretting! Our Bartenders use insulin needles-the tiniest pokers available! If you’re super nervous, we can offer you a chill pack so YOU can chill and if that still isn’t enough, we’ll put you on our couch for a bit with a smear of topical numbing cream on until you relax. Once we get you in the chair, a few minutes is all we need to deliver the best “quickie” you’ve ever had- it literally takes less than 10 minutes!
Any do’s and don’ts before or after?
Just a few! Avoid exercise, laying down, or touching the area for several hours following your injections to prevent the migration of Botox outside the area of treatment. It is normal to see redness and slight swelling resembling mosquito bites in the area of treatment for about 15 minutes after your procedure. To minimize your chances of bruising, we recommend avoiding ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen sodium, vitamin E, fish oils, alcohol and blood-thinning medications for 3 days before your injections. We recommend starting a course of Arnica Montana and/or Bromelain (homeopathic remedies for bruising and swelling).
How long will it last?
Results usually start to become visible at 3-5 days following treatment and full effect is noticeable at 10 days. The result is a softening or reduction in the appearance of lines typically lasting 3-4 months for most. Luckily, it’s a gradual return, not a case of “at the stroke of midnight….poof” the spell wears off kind of thing! Retreatment to maintain the results is often necessary 3-4 times per year depending on desired results.
Botox is naturally broken down and metabolized in the body over time. Factors like metabolism, biochemistry, physiology, exercise, and even some medications can shorten that time, so many of our clients like to come in for frequent touch-ups every couple of months. We try hard to deliver fantastic results so we will work with you to get you on a good schedule and maximize your results!
How is Botox dosed and priced?
Botox is measured in units with each area of the upper face requiring between 20-24 units. For example, between the eyebrows in most female adults, an average of 20 units is expected. Adults males can require up to 30% more Botox units than females to account for the difference in musculature. Certain areas may require lighter dosing, such as the forehead, where less than 20 units may be called for. The number of units can vary according to individuals, expectations and desired outcomes, i.e., “frozen” versus “softer”. At Skinjectables®, our Botox is priced at $10 per unit so you only pay for what you need, rather than per area or per syringe which can often times be misleading and not as cost effective. While we want you to get the most out of your injections and prefer to deliver therapeutic doses, we will never recommend more Botox than you need. We are happy to work with your budget as long as we are all on the same page!
