(Sk)Injectables: Facts About Fillers, Toxins, & Collagen Stimulators

Facial-EnhancementAccording to information from The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, 15.9 million cosmetic procedures were performed in 2015. Of those, a whopping 89% were minimally invasive procedures. Injectables (toxins like Botox & Dysport, and dermal fillers like Juvederm & Restylane) took the top two spots in the top 5 noninvasive procedures and, for the first time since 2000, facelifts slipped out of the top 5 most performed surgical procedures.

People all across the country looking to stall the effects of aging are turning to injectables and seeing results that are, at the very least, delaying if not eliminating the need for invasive surgery.

This week, we’ll be focusing specifically on dermal fillers and the amazing things they can do! But before we get into any specifics, let’s talk about injectables as a whole and learn a little more about dermal fillers in the process…
